Why is my car making a weird noise when I slow down?
CV joint – A worn CV (constant velocity) joint can cause your vehicle to make grinding noises when making tight turns at slow speeds. Left unattended, a damaged CV joint can fail, leaving you with a vehicle that is stuck in park. If it fails while you’re driving, it can lead to a loss of control.
Why does my Nissan make a clunking noise when I start the car?
If that isn’t it, then while the hood is up, have someone start the car, and put it first in reverse, then in drive. If the engine jumps around when it goes into gear, then its most likely a bad motor mount. If not that, then jack the car up on both sides so that the front wheels are off the ground.
Is it hard to change the gears in a Missan Micra?
Because of cold whether, the gear oil was too thick, therefore, they suggested me to warm up every time to let the oil becomes thin. Then, changing gear will smoother than cold engine. The clutch is fine as I only drive 40000 miles. I would have the gearbox oil changed for a synthetic oil.
How to make clunking noise, front right side?
Doug has it right on what all it can be, but I will add a few things. First go to either side of the car with the hood up, and push the front end up, and down. While you’re doing this take a look at the nut that holds the strut to the strut mount on top of the fender.
What makes a clunking noise when turning the steering wheel?
Hi all, I noticed a clunking noise coming from the front right side. I hear the noise when turning the steering wheel all the way or driving over pot holes. I did a quick search and found it could be a strut mounts or motor mounts. Any other suggestions where to look when I crawl under the car this weekend? Thanks for all the suggestions.
