Is there a problem with my Nissan X-Trail?

Until late 2009, when the problem recurred; though only experiencing power loss. Car has not cut-out again as yet. Took car to mechanic with Nissan Diagnostic software but no fault had been recorded in computer. He replaced fuel filter, cleaned fuel pipe but the problem persists.

What to do if you lose power on a hill?

Power loss with no fault codes or warning lights, when reaching a hill felt like you were towing a train behind. I replaced the suction control valves (£200) no joy, various engine, injector and turbo cleaners but still no joy! Car pulled on flat till 3500 revs then held back.
