Why is my Infiniti not accelerating?
There are a number of things that may cause the car to hesitate when accelerating such as low fuel pressure, a dirty or faulty mass air flow sensor, clogged or dirty fuel injectors, a faulty throttle position sensor or potentially a bad fuel pump.
Do Infinitis have transmission problems?
The infiniti qx50 transmission issues are related to the “prone to cause sudden, unpredictable shaking and violent squeezing.” Transmissions will prevent vehicles from accelerating as intended due to violent shuddering and jerking actions.
How long does Infiniti G35 transmission last?
But on average, we’ve seen the Infiniti G35 transmissions last for between 130,000-180,000 miles. A high quality replacement transmission however, can last considerably longer if all of the factory design flaws have been addressed and the vehicle has been maintained.
Why is my Infiniti not accelerating at normal rpm?
I figure that the issue was the throttle body, I replace it and know it starts up fine all the time at its normal RPM but it still has the problem of not accelerating.
What happens if your transmission valve is not working?
Your shifter should never slip out of gear if your transmission valve body is fully functional. If the transmission is not able to downshift, then hydraulic fluid may not be entering or navigating the transmission valve body properly. Once this happens, the gears cannot be pressurized properly which degrades the performance of the vehicle.
Why is the gas pedal not working on my Infiniti?
There is no misfire or lack of power other then the throttle body not opening. I also replaced the sensor on the gas pedal. There is times when I do start it and it revs up great like it should you put it in gear and it responses like it should with just a small tap to the accelerator. But just after a few second its goes back doing the same thing.
When do you need a new transmission valve body?
If one of these solenoids were to fail, you may find yourself locked out of certain gears, or you may be unable to shift at all. A qualified transmission shop may be able to replace a single component inside the valve body, or you may need a new valve body depending on what the root cause of the problem is.
