What kind of throttle cable do I need for my KTM?

What’s the purpose of a KTM MXC Trans?
For dual sport use, the EXC transmission is probably more useful; search the classifieds on KTMtalk, you can swap transmissions if you want, or build a hybrid (close ratio on some gears, wide on others). I believe there was an EXC trans listed for $3-400 not long ago?

What’s the difference between an MXC and an EXC?
big diff is the transmission gear ratio’s. the mxc is is a closed course/motocross bike with narrow ratio and no 6th gear (?), and maybe closed chamber forks? you can make it work for trails its just not preferred, that’s why all the exc’s are more money. cross-country . The MXC was imported into the wester US only.

Is the KTM LC4 LC8 street legal?
If you are looking for 250-450cc factory built dual sport then EXC is what you want. All LC4/LC8 bikes are street legal “dual sport” as delivered from KTM. Other models may be easily adapted to be street legal depending on where you live.
What does LC4 stand for in KTM nomenclature?
Here is my layperson’s take on the history of KTM nomenclature. LC4 would have to mean liquid cooled four stroke, LC8 is natural evolution from LC4: same target market and one more cylinder.
