What are the filters on a Polaris ATV?
The filters they replaced, likely the originals, one had a tiny “4,” and the other a tiny “5,” embossed in one of the flow direction arrows. The ATV runs OK with these filters, but we are unsure if they are OEM Polaris.
Where is the fuel filter on a Polaris EFI?
The filter/strainer is in the bottom of the tank, integral with the pump & pickup tube assembly. There is no serviceable fuel filter on the EFI machines. It is the sock that is integral of the pump assembly. Not to say the sock couldn’t be replaced it’s just not a routine maintenance procedure.
What makes a Polaris 4 wheeler not rev up?
Came back from the dunes. Ended the day with alot of wheelies. After getting home 4-wheeler starts idles great and runs good to mid throttle. After this it almost sounds like the rev limiter is kicking in. Air filter is clean. Went back through the carb seems to be good and clean.

Is it bad to rebuild a Polaris needle seat?
Probably not a bad idea to do at this point anyway, but most complete rebuild kits will not include floats or the needle seat. the needle seat alone usually runs $20-$30 by itself. familiar with carbs at all? There is that possiblility too, but you dont see it too often, especially if you havent touched it since before it started leaking.
What kind of CARB is Polaris Sportsman 500?
Its a 1999 polaris sportsman 500, 45th anniverserry edition if that helps at all. Looks just like the carb in the original posters pics of the leaky nip.
