How to adjust the clutch on a Honda Foreman?
Start in gear mod. The correct way is to loosen the lock nut…. turn the adjuster screw COUNTERCLOCKWISE until resistance is felt ….then turn the adjuster clockwise 1/4 turn…hold it there and tighten the locknut.I like to adjust it a little looser (it seems to shift easier) by turning it clockwise 3/4 turn.
Where is the clutch on a Honda ATV?
It’s located on the front crankcase cover, toward the left side of the ATV. And if adjusting the clutch freeplay doesn’t help, I wouldn’t worry about it too much because I’ve seen quite a few of the 450s do that. Helmut i have a 450 es i replaced angle sensor still doesnt shift what to do now ?
Why does my Honda Foreman 450 es not shift?
Warrantied new ECU and still wont shift. I have power and ground coming into the 5P plug on the ECU, but no power out of the ECU when needed to shift. I can manually put power and ground to the shift motor wires at the 5P plug in and it will shift up and down through all the gears and display the correct gear on the dash.

How to tighten the clutch on a foreman 450?
Thanks for the help guys! loosen the clutch outter nut..with a screw driver..turn the center screw counter clockwise until you feal it start to get tight ?..while holding the outter nut with a wrench ?..turn the center screw back clock-wise 1/4 turn..hold it there with the screw driver…then tighten down the outter nut..this is the pre-settings.
