How do you find the exact match of paint?
Scrape off a 1 in (2.5 cm) sample of drywall paint with a razor knife.
- Place the sample in a plastic bag or an envelope so it doesn’t get smudged before you get to the paint store.
- Once the store has analyzed the color, dab a little of the paint onto a corner of the sample and let it dry to ensure it’s a perfect match.

We do not directly provide matching color codes between brands. However, if you find the color on our site that you would like to match, you can look below the color image on the page and select ‘EXPLORE RELATED COLORS’. You can then adjust the HUE, SATURATION, and LIGHTNESS sliders to find related colors we have matches for.
How to fix paint chip on bicycle frame?
Bring the frame to a store’s cosmetics section and find the two colors closest to the colors you want to fix. Note, it can be tricky if the paint has a pearl or metallic finish. Once you have the colors you need, the fun begins. If edges of the chip are raised you’ll want to lightly sand them.
Can you use touch up paint on Boardman Bikes?
Unfortunatley touch up paints are not available for any cycles within the Boardman range. The store can offer a paint match service but as we do not keep the formula’s for these paints the match would be dependent on the staffmembers mixing ability. I’ve replied to the above asking for contact details of Boardman bikes themselves.
