Why does my bike bog at the wrong time?
When the bike is at an idle, it will bog if you open the throttle all the way to fast. It is still rideable but sometimes when it happens it is always at the wrong time. My plug is lightly oily and black. I already cleared my jets and cleaned the carb. Thanks guys. You’re running rich man.
Why does my Kawasaki ATV die when I hit the throttle?
If it will only run with full choke on your carb is still plugged up somewhere. By just putting new jets in it wont do a dame thing. If it has been sitting a while the carb is plugged up.
What should I do if my Kawasaki Idles dies?
If it has been sitting a while the carb is plugged up. You have to pull it completely apart to clean it. Get a bucket of parts cleaner and soak your carb over night. Pull it out and blow compressed air through it. Find out where the air is coming out of and put your finger over that hole. Repeat that a few times (blowing the carb out).
What causes bogs when I open the throttle fast?
Turning this screw clockwise will rich the mixture and worsen the bog. If you find that you go more than 2.5 turns out on the air screw you need a leaner pilot, and if you’re less than 1 turn from closed you need a richer pilot.
What happens when you touch the throttle on a Kawasaki?
I start it, it idles ok, I can apply throttle and rev the engine just fine for the first couple of minutes, and then, after that, it wants to die if I touch the throttle. It seems to be consistent; whenever the engine is cold, it runs fine for a couple of minutes. After the engine warms up a bit….

Why is my Idles fine when I hit the throttle?
Then your carb isn’t clean, running wrong jets, jet are not in the right spot, needle jet isn’t assembled correct, measured float wrong, or etc…. The problem is in your carb.
