What should the ohms be on a Dyna?
I checked my manual (07 Dyna) and the ohms on either terminal of the CPK to ground should read at or above 1 megohm. Just disconnect it from the regulator and test the CPK side of the connector. I checked for a Dyna the primary coil side should only be between 0.3 and 0.5 ohms.

Why did my FXDX Conv Dyna Convertible break?
Like the 1996 Convertible we have in our garage, one of the leather cover flaps on the ’99 FXDS broke in two places. The first thing to fail was the front snap. The snap holds the leading edge of the flap against the bag. This keeps it from flapping wildly at speed. With this snap missing the flap was exposed to the full force of the wind.
What should the spark plug be on a Dyna?
Just disconnect it from the regulator and test the CPK side of the connector. I checked for a Dyna the primary coil side should only be between 0.3 and 0.5 ohms. I remembered 3 ohms from somewhere, maybe it was my truck. Anyhow if your coil is a sealed unit you will have to test the plug going in it.
What kind of Dyno do I need for an 88 inch?
No problem running a 98 inch setup as far as heat etc but I would probably use an Andrews 37G cam rather than those you mentioned. If you stay at 88 then the 509 has proven to be a great performer on my own dyno and I have installed a ton of Andrews 26 with great results and they will also work well if you should go big bore later.

Can a Vance and Hines FP3 be tuned to eliminate decel popping?
Yes, this would definitely improve your performance. We would suggest tuning with a Power Commander, or Vance & Hines FP3. You can eliminate decel popping by adding aprox 5% fuel at 0% throttle; between the RPM range of 1,500 and 3,500 RPM. Where can I find the part to add 5% as suggested on FP3?
