Why was the Harley Davidson Dyna model discontinued?
The new Softail frame is reputed to be lighter, stiffer, and dramatically better performing. But by killing off the Dyna – the single most popular Harley among younger riders – many believe the Motor Company has cut itself off at the knees in the highly competitive battle within the motorcycle industry for the loyalty of younger riders.
Why was the Harley Davidson Dyna called the rider’s Harley?
Dynas, characterized by their frame with a rubber mounted, non-counter-balanced engine and twin external rear shocks, became known as “the rider’s Harley,” because the Dyna was a full-size Harley with a Big Twin motor that was still relatively agile, much better handling than the more wallowy Softail and big, heavy luxo-cruiser Touring models.
Why is my Harley Davidson Dyna Glide not starting?
If your battery voltage and connections are in good condition, but your engine is still refusing to turn over, the problem may be in the starter circuit. Perhaps the easiest place to begin is at the starter solenoid on the right side of the motorcycle.

What kind of motor does a Harley Davidson Dyna have?
Dynas were the lowest-end Harley-Davidsons that carried the Big Twin motor, so more attention (from both the company and it’s fans) was always heaped on higher-end models like Harley’s top-of-the-line Touring models, or it’s more expensive “simulated hardtail” model, the Softail.
