The only way I can see that polaris could Fix this is to create more positive shift points on the shifter (maybe that is what the gated shifter is) and take up all the slop in the linkage. Then once you got the adjustment right it would guaranteed be in gear.

(Owner of a 2014 Ranger XP 900 EPS with 340 miles on it that experiences gear grinding upon gear selection and then hard engagement of the torque converter at 1800 rpm.) I just put a duraclutch in this weekend. This has taken care of the jerkiness when going into reverse. Very smooth.
