What does reverse override mean on a four wheeler?
The reverse override is a safety feature to keep you from killing yourself in reverse. It cuts out the ignition if you get too fast and the 4×4 as well unless you press the button.

FOund the info I was looking for…Check it out! Polaris has incorporated a safety feature on all their 4wd models. This feature, which is operational all the time when reverse is selected, will limited engine power and cut out the front wheel drive unless you push the “override” button.

What should I do if my Polaris 4×4 is not working?
If all else fails flush the front diff repeatedly with parts cleaner and then change the fluid a few times running the machine for a bit in between each change. Best bet is still to tear it down for a good as new cleaning. Did you find the recommended reading relevant to this discussion?
