What does adjusting the power valve do?
The adjuster changes the preload on the main power-valve spring. The power valve is held in the closed position by a spring. You can change when the power valve opens by adjusting preload on this spring. This affects the power-delivery characteristics of your engine.
What happens if the exhaust valve is not adjusted?
Exhaust valves perform a similar function, except their purpose is to allow burnt gases to leave the engine. If the valves aren’t adjusted correctly, the engine will not burn fuel at maximum efficiency. Power and mileage then dramatically decrease.
Can a worn out exhaust valve hit the piston?
An exhaust valve that is not worn out or broken will not hit the piston on a stock bore cylinder even if the pin has come out because it will hit the bottom of the slot before it hits the piston. This is proven in the pictures.
Why do intake and exhaust valves need to be open?
All of the intake and exhaust valves in an engine must open and close at correct intervals to allow the engine to run smoothly. These valves have a small amount of clearance between the valve itself and the mechanism that activates the valve.
Can a quick exhaust valve be used as an or?
This video describes working principles of a quick exhaust valve. If rapid piston retraction required, by using quick exhaust valve, task can be accomplished effectively with minimal expense. These valve also can be used as an or valve. http://www.mekanizmalar.com/menu-pneu… Loading…

Why does my exhaust valve keep getting stuck?
Between the stem of an exhaust valve and its guide, is very little tolerance. The valve can have difficulty opening and closing if sludge gets between the two. Mechanics call this “morning sickness” because it’s usually at its worse in the morning when the engine is cold, and improves as the engine and oil heat up.
Can a power valve malfunction out of the factory?
It’s also important to note that some valves can malfunction right out of the factory, so make sure you check it before installation and perform a test run after installation. The most noticeable symptom of a malfunctioning power valve is a complete lack of power at high RPMs.
