Can You Hot Wire a fuel pump through a G Terminal?
Yes I changed the fuel pump relay and checked the fuse. Neither appeared to be bad and the old relay clicked and worked if I jumped the G terminal. My question is can I hot wire the fuel pump through the G terminal using a toggle switch and not cause any damage to anything?
Is the fuel pump relay under the hood normal?
The coil in the relay alone dissipates about 2W (measured). Doesn’t seem like much but consider: it’s a little plastic case that is very inefficient at rejecting heat, it’s already in a hot environment under the hood, it’s on 100% of the time the truck is on (unlike the other relays).
How does the fuel cutoff relay work on a Honda?
This will stop the fuel pump, so that gas will not be pumped onto the scene of an accident. The bike will pump fuel when the starter is cranking, and should full your carb bowls, giving you fuel to start the bike. There’s a few minutes worth of fuel stored in the carb bowls anyway, so the fuel pump doesn’t need to run right away.
What are the pins on a fuel pump relay?
The relay should have 4 pins on it. They are usually labeled 30, 85, 86, and 87. Steps: 1. Wire pin 85 of the relay to the 12v supply wire from the stock ECU that you just cut. This 12v wire will now energize the relay to turn on. So now instead of the stock ecu energizing the fuel pump, it will energize this relay. 2.

What is the function of the fuel pump relay switch?
The reason I asked about the function of the fuel pump relay switch is a long story. When I ride the bike in the rain, it loses power, then stops firing then I have to slow down to an idle. If I try to throttle it up, first the rear cylinder quits, then throttling up further kils it all together.
What kind of fuel pump do I use?
I recently installed a brand new Delphi fuel pump with upgraded wiring harness like 2 weeks ago. Prior to that the original fuel pump in the tank had to be changed as it had over 200k miles on it and I didn’t want it crapping out on me while far from home.
