Is the Polaris 600 swithcback overheating in the snow?
Hatcher Pass Polaris had them on the wall last time I was in there. The non trail pro chassis sleds run quite hot without lots of loose snow. They simply aren’t designed to run packed trails without modifications to get fresh snow on the inter cooler.
What to do if your Polaris summit overheats?
A friend of mine had overheating problems with a 06 summit until he realized that it had been filled with 100% glycol. Replaced it with 50/50 mix and fine since. Can’t use Scratchers with reverse can I? Or will they flip up out of the way? Not 100% scratchers would fix the problem completely.
Why is my Polaris RMK snowmobile having problems?
That one side might be flooding out, which washes oil off the cylinder walls and lowers compression. Try putting some injection oil down the spark plug hole and pull it over a few times then repeat the compression test. If it stays low, there is an engine problem. If it goes up to 120 like the other one, then I think that side has a fuel issue.

We have three 2013 RMKs and mine is by far the worst when it comes to overheating. Is there a suggested remedy from Polaris? My sled is under warranty but the dealer is far away.

Why is my snowest sled overheating so much?
First thing to rule out is air in the system. The factory delegates this task to the dealers and most dealers do not spend 5 minutes on sled prep, despite all the paperwork that they are required to complete saying that they performed all the required pre-delivery checks.
