Can a Polaris 850XP start without a shot of ether?
Been trying to get a god damned 2014 Polaris 850XP with 996 miles on it to start without a shot of starter fluid. The pile of shit will crank and crank and crank, but will not start without the chemical kick. Tried new battery because of the voltage was sagging a bit while it cranked, and cranked and cranked.

Once started it ran fine and would start easily again. In both instances they needed a valve adjustment. The valve would not fully close so it could not get compression. Both ran great after that. Might not be it but its worth mentioning to the dealer.
