For some Sym scooter models the battery is located under where the pillion passenger would sit, behind the right hand panel. Just lift the seat and see if you can see a shape where the battery might go.

my sym jet 50 euro x has just had a engine rebuild new choke and spark plug plus battery was running then cut out and wont start up has a spark but smells like it is flooding and ideas ??? I smelled an electrical burning smell, so pulled the front cover off and noticed the relay with the red and green wire was very hot, I waited till it cooled down and inspected it and found the ceramic? was blackened and cracked… I replaced it with another one from the same year and model and it was different?
