1. Try to clean up the damage yourself – have the vehicle towed home if it’s not there already, and get as much of the diesel fuel out. How? What to do if you have a fuel misfueling error?
DO have the fuel tank drained and receive confirmation that the contaminated fuel was limited to the fuel tank. If you don’t notice the misfueling error until the car has been driven, stop as soon as it is safe to and call your roadside service provider to request a tow.
