Premium gas can cause hard starting in the cold. I know hard to believe, but true. Higher octanes are less volatile and thus harder to ignite. I would put some hours on it, then refill it with good new regular gas.

Is there a problem with my Polaris Ranger 700EFI?

It will cut out when you give it throttle, it always is preceded with one hesitation. When acceleration is applied it staggers and farts, until you let off the throttle, then it will run fine at an even RPMs until accelerator is pushed. It will always start right up if it dies and will idle.

What kind of gas does a Polaris Ranger use?

Now I not hating on ethanol, it has its place and uses but it doesn’t get along with heat at ALL. A buddy runs it in his 1300 hp small block ford in NHRA EXTREME STREET Class. So it can make power but it boils at 160 degrees. I run the higher test gas MAINLY to get non ethanol blended gas.

Are there any issues with the 2008 ranger XP 700?

I just bought a 2008 Ranger xp 700 with about 120 hours on it. I’ve taken it out a few times and it has 2 issues that I’m hoping you could help me out with- 1) It didn’t idle well when I bought it but wasn’t to big of a deal at the time. Now that I’m using it I find that I would like to fix that problem but not sure how.

What’s the idle time on a Polaris Ranger 700?

That 2008 700 is a sweet machine especially with those low hours…….. It idles between 5-600 so I have to fan the throttle to keep it running. I tried the sea foam but maybe I need to do it again. I only ran half the bottle through half a tank then added more fuel half way through that tank so probably too weak?
