What’s the code on a 2008 Nytro MTX?
Went to start my 2008 Nytro MTX this weekend after a summer of storage. It would not start, but the solinoid was clicking. After a few tries it started to blink a code 12. which is crank sensor position. But after some review online i jumped the starter relay and it cranked right up.

Why is my Yamaha Nytro not starting up?
The crank sensor is a result of low crank speed or crank speed failure….meaing the crank failed to turn the engine over sucessfully. Been there, bought the shirt. As was said, the starter relay (and all other relays on the Nytro for that matter) are prone to corrosion. Dielectric grease and a replacement.
