Do Harley Davidsons have rev limiters?
Although the parameter is commonly called the rev limiter, it is more accurately called the rpm limit, and it is a function of the electronic ignition. A stock Harley-Davidson has a limit of 5,500 revolutions per minute. Crane makes ignitions with rev limits that can be set as high as 9,900 rpm.
Are there geared cams on a Harley Davidson 103?
Just read an article in Hot Bike, about the 103, they recommend a couple of things if you want to get more gitty up, cams were high on the list. They also pointed out if you can to have geared cams installed, alot depends on “run out” which I am not familiar with.

Do not know my compression ratio, and do not have an oil cooler on it. The bike runs great, just does not start well, right after shut down like at a gas fill up. After 30 minute shut down normally starts fine. Factory 103’s come with automatic compression releases and oil coolers.

What kind of Dyno does a Harley Davidson 103 make?
But to ad to it I OWN a Roeder Racing tuned 103 motor. They use one of my dyno sheets in their shop to show customers what can be done. The guys there are GREAT. My 103 makes 110/111 on the dyno and that was before the new cam set up that they are using. I am sure they are making more now.
