How to set idle on 2007 Ranger 700?
Installed a new TPS on 2007 Ranger 700 EFI 6×6. We have attempted to set idle position. It doesn’t want to idle and/or idles extremely low when first cranking (cold). Once machine warms up, idle is good. What tool is used to set the idle position and at what position should it be set. We deflected with standard ohm meter.
What should TPS be on 2007 Ranger 700?
good luck! Your TPS should be set to .710 volts. Here’s a copy and paste from a write-up I did on the adjustment procedure. Since you installed a new TPS, you will need to do the “long version” and set the base voltage first. Good luck and let us know if you have any questions. The TPS is located on the passenger side of the throttle body.

How do you test the TPS on a Polaris Ranger?
The only way to test the TPS is to use the tool Polaris designed to test it, or back-probe the yellow wire at the connector with a multi-meter and watch the voltage as you run up the throttle. It should climb smoothly, not erratically. Its hard to do as the numbers on the multi-meter will run up quickly.
