Is there a problem with the Ski Doo 550F?
Just had the same problem on a Ski Doo 550F. We couldn’t figure it out to save our lives. Cleaned carbs 2x, replaced plugs, wires, fuel lines. Nothing worked. Then watched a carb cleaning video on youtube (no kidding) that showed how to pull the floats and the needles. Yes, the one float needle was getting hung up.
Why is my Ski Doo running on 2 cylinders?
The sled was running from 1 to 2 cylinders after this was done. After taking it ride, it was good after. I posted a message on another snowmobile forum about this problem and one person said that if my spark plugs were black and sooty, it maybe the spark plug caps since they said that is a common problem with the 600 sdi’s.
What should I do if my Ski Doo won’t start?
OK, so I checked the manual, the black/orange wire is your ground. Check continuity with your meter to ground (disconnect it from the solenoid), if nothing you could test it by running a temporary wire back to your battery ground and try and start the sled. If it starts you know your ground on that wire is most definitely not grounded.

When was the last time I started my Ski Doo?
Last time I started the sleds was Jan. or Feb. They have been sitting in an enclosed trailer and backed inside a building. I bought 2 identical sleds in Dec. and rode for a week. Never had any troubles. I have swaped batteries, a relay, fuses and selenoid from one sled to other and nothing.

Why does my Ski Doo not start up?
If you’re not getting spark then you can diagnose it as an electrical problem and start from there. If you’re getting spark and the sled isn’t starting it is it could be that your sled isn’t getting fuel. That’s how a smartass would look for problems…
Why did my Ski Doo MXZ 500 die?
I have a 1999 Ski-Doo MXZ 500 that has 2500 miles on it, and is all stock. I was riding it tonight (about 10 degrees F) and after about 25 miles of super smooth running, it started to lose power + eventually died on me, as if it was too hot and siezed.
Is there a problem with my Ski Doo sled?
I own a used 2005 MXZ RENEGADE 600 HO SDI. I have been having difficulty in the past few weeks with trying to start my sled. When I would try to pull over the machine, it would run for about 5 seconds tops and then shut off. Numerous times i tried this and no success.
