Why does my Harley Davidson bike vibrate in neutral?

In neutral it does not vibrate, only in gear when you let off the throttle and the rpm’s come down does it vibrate. I replaced the front motor mount, I believe the vibration is what ruined it. The bike has less than 22000 miles on it. The original owner parked it due to the vibration and it has been in his garage for 7 years.

Look for the easy stuff, then on to the expensive. Check the front motor mount to make sure the elastomer has not broke from the metal. Make sure the link at the top of the engine, and front of the engine is attached at both ends. Jack the rear wheel off the ground and have someone hold the bike.
