Why does my Polaris ATV backfire?

I have a 2009 Polaris Sportsman 400 HO. I’m assuming carb.problems. It will start and idle fine , but sputters, sometimes backfires and dies when trying to accelerate. It began suddenly right of the trailer. Haven’t had any trouble like this before. Changed fuel out but didn’t seem to help.

What to do when carburetor Pops on Polaris ATV?
I would check the carb adapter boot from the motor and to the air box as well as all other hoses etc where you can get an air leak . you can spray a fine mist of starting fluid as it’s running in the facinity and see if the idel changes to know if it’s sucking air in certain locations. Also check the exhaust manifold and pipes for air leaks.
