Oil pump. Being a 20 year old engine my mechanic said he wouldn’t buy a new pump because he thinks other things like relays and switches will fail and cause the inevitable engine failure! It’s not a question of if the system will fail rather then when the system will fail! Go Fishing! Disconnected the oil lines and zip tied the floats!
