How many miles does a Kawasaki Nomad get?
I have had my 1700 since May 2009 and now have 6,000 miles on it. Gas mileage has been consistent at 37 mpg since it broke in. The engine seems to be running smoother and smoother as it has more miles on it (either that or I am getting used to the power pulses – it is a BIG V-twin).
Is there a recall on the Kawasaki Nomad?
My understanding is that Kawasaki has addressed the excessive heat issue for 2010 and is offering a kit to fix it for free, in the form of a recall for the ’09’s. I can’t say as I am experiencing any belt whine, however the transmission uses square cut gears as opposed to bevel cut gears, so there is some whine.
