When did the Polaris Sportsman 500 Ho start?
I keep a 2009 Polaris Sportsman 500 HO up at the farm. Since there was very little snow this winter, I used it on every visit up until January. I tried to start the machine the first week of February and she wouldn’t start.
Can a Polaris Sportsman run with a choke on?
2000ish Polaris Sportsman 500, 4-stroke. It had been put up for a while ( a few months), it wouldn’t start when i went to get it out. Finally got it started with starter fluid and it’d only idle with the choke on, choke off it’ll run, but pops, doesn’t run well and won’t idle.
Why does my Polaris Sportsman 500 not start?
Returned yesterday with a new battery and installed it. The machine cranks fine, but will not start. Gas is full and non-ox is always used. On/Stop switch is “on”. Everything on the dash lights up properly. Nothing else has changed with the machine since it was parked last and was running.

What kind of carburetor does a sportsman 700 have?
Carburetor repair kit and measuring the float to stock with the new needle in it and it has been running fine since. I have an 04 sportsman 700 Eli. It runs great for a while but then bogs down and has no power. If I shut it off then turn it back on it will run great again for a while.
Why is the magneto on my Polaris ATV not working?
A mechanic said it could be the stator getting hot but as I only have 325 hours on it and bought it new I can’t see how the magneto could be bad so soon. The only thing I can think of is that the plug cap might of got jerked on making it lose spark after it gets bumped around awhile. Or that the coil is failing.
Why does my Polaris ATV run out of gas?
It acts like it runs out of gas OR the spark fails. I put a new fuel filter, fuel pump, and nice fresh gas on it. I seen on the polaris site that the spark plug cap can be bought apart from the coil. Could it possibly be a coil problem?
