The Honda factory bearing is designed for apx 100,000K miles of wear and we were lucky to get the higher mileage that we did. My dealer also wanted about $1300 for doing both front wheels (always replace both bearings when you have high mileage on the original bearings)

I have a 2012 AWD with 118K miles on it, and the front wheel bearings need to be replaced. The dealer’s estimate was $1376. $1000 of that is labor. I have a decent set of tools and I do a lot of my own car work, and I’d like to save that $1000 labor by doing it myself, but I’m not sure if I want to tackle this job.
