How to test polaris snowmobile stator?

How to test polaris snowmobile stator?

To test the stator you have to test the resistance between the wires. Unplug all plugs from the harness and test the resistance from the green wire to the black with red. It should be 15 ohms. The reading between the green and red should also be 15 ohms.

Is there a spark on a Polaris 600?

We then disconnected the ignition switch and still no spark. We towed it to a repair shop and they pulled a coil pack from an 01 Polaris 600 and still no spark. Put the original one on and then changed out the CDI box. Not sure if it is the same box or not, but still no spark. So we put the original back on.

How to test stator on Polaris 700 xcsp?

To test the stator you have to test the resistance between the wires. Unplug all plugs from the harness and test the resistance from the green wire to the black with red. It should be 15 ohms. The reading between the green and red should also be 15 ohms. The resistance between the white and white with red should be 185 ohms.

How do you test a Polaris stator coil?

It’s a actually one wire that runs round and round all the posts, and back to the begining. All you need is some sort of test meter, or digital volt ohm meter. Put it on the continuity setting , and touch a lead to each wire.

How can I tell if my stator connector is defective?

Ohms Test. You will need a multimeter set to Ohms for this test. Test every lead of the stator’s connector and note the readings. The reading of each combination should be the same (test leads 1-2, 2-3, and 3-1). If they are different, your stator is defective.

Why is there no spark on my stator?

We started with no spark, changed the coil, still had no spark. Changed the CDI module since there was no voltage going to the coil, still no spark. Started troubleshooting the Stator wires and here we are.
