A lot of times clutch tuners forget that little things do affect clutch operation and ultimately their overall snowmobile performance and reliability. These little things are usually fairly easy and may not require a large investment, but simply just involve a little bit of time, attention and know-how.
Why is the clutch on my snowest sticking?
Guess it was bent enough to make the movable sheeve or the spider to get stuck, but not enough to see with my eyes. The bushing on the moveable sheave sometimes gets corrosion on it. Take the spider off and clean the shaft and the bushing with fine emery cloth. I know the 04’s had a weak spider gear.

How do you remove the secondary clutch on a snowmobile?
I have read somewhere before where others have removed the secondary key, started the sled, locked the brake, and hit the throttle to let the belt break the rust. Please note: this method is untested by me as I have not had mine freeze/rust.
