Why does my snowmobile stall at Idel?
Not well cold, but after it has been ridden, when you go to idel, it idles and eventually goes to a stall.(like within 15 seconds) Very hard to get restarted. It appears it is stalling because of being rich. Pilot jet screws out 1-1/4 turns. Standard jets. When I pulled the enrichner plunger, I saw a little o-ring/gasket down in there.
What kind of snowmobile was in the 90’s?
Have an early 90’s yamaha… Have an early 90’s yamaha 340 ovation snowmobile. This year it will not idle. Removed carb and all jets, thouroughlly cleaned. Seemed like it could be spark, so I tried a spare coil, no luck.
Is the enrichner plunger out of the CARB?
Verified when you removed the enrichner plunger out of the carb body, completely out and away, if you use a flashlight to peer down into the hole where the choke plunger goes, there should be nothing else in there below the choke plunger.
Where does the Carb Clean can go in a pilot jet?
Once you have the jet cleaned, you want to insert the hose of the carb clean can into the pilot jet orifice and squirt it in there, it should come out the front of the carb (thru the fuel screw orifice feedhole), if the fluid does come out, this means the carb has no restriction in it and your good to go.

What to use to clean idle jet passage?
With the carburetor lead shot removed, you can see the very tip of the emulsion tube where fuel is introduced into the idle circuit passage. I used carburetor spray cleaner to thoroughly clean the idle circuit. I also gave the bowl a good cleaning. This would be a good idea since when I drained the carb, there was very little gas in there.
Where does carburetor cleaner go in idle jet circuit?
Giving a few good squirts into the float bowl also lets the cleaner run into the emulsion pickup tube. This is a critical point in the fuel circuit, if it isn’t free to pass fuel through to the carburetor throat and idle circuit the engine will run poorly at best. Next I sprayed carburetor cleaner through all of the ports in the idle jet circuit.
