Why does my Polaris ATV run so great?
Lol. Check your exhaust, runs great till you get too much back pressure from a plugged muffler or exhaust pipe could be kinked or bent. Too much pressure will not let enough fuel enter the cylinder and it will not have enough power to get out of its own way.

Thanks for the add! Went riding one day and playing in the mud and water I slipped my belt a little bit. Let it dry and continued on my way. Got home and pressure washed everything and let dry.
Why is the magneto on my Polaris ATV not working?
A mechanic said it could be the stator getting hot but as I only have 325 hours on it and bought it new I can’t see how the magneto could be bad so soon. The only thing I can think of is that the plug cap might of got jerked on making it lose spark after it gets bumped around awhile. Or that the coil is failing.

If you own one of the four wheeler / ATV models below, contact your closest Polaris dealer for information on how to schedule a free repair. In the meantime, consumers are advised to disconnect the negative (black) battery cable from the battery.
This recall involves model year 2009 and 2010 Polaris Sportsman ATVs (models listed below) with certain VIN numbers. The ATVs were manufactured between January and August 2009 and sold at Polaris dealers from February 2009 through November 2009 for between $7,500 and $10,800.

Can you remove the ring from a Polaris speedometer?
Click on the image for a larger version. Once you get 75-90% of the backside of the ring straightened out, you’ll be able to pop the ring off the front: Set it aside. With the ring removed you should be able to use your fingernails and pry the front, clear cover from the body of the speedometer.
