How to tighten the clutch on a foreman 450?
Thanks for the help guys! loosen the clutch outter nut..with a screw driver..turn the center screw counter clockwise until you feal it start to get tight ?..while holding the outter nut with a wrench ?..turn the center screw back clock-wise 1/4 turn..hold it there with the screw driver…then tighten down the outter nut..this is the pre-settings.
How can I tell if my Clutch is out of adjust?
Your ” freeplay” on a hydraulic linkage is almost non-existant. A good indicator that the clutch is out of adjust is the clutch brake starts to go away from the floor. Also note when your engagment moves to the top of the pedal travel. Any adjustment on the hydraulic side would vary by OEM and often there is no need or way to adjust.

It’s located on the front crankcase cover, toward the left side of the ATV. And if adjusting the clutch freeplay doesn’t help, I wouldn’t worry about it too much because I’ve seen quite a few of the 450s do that. Helmut i have a 450 es i replaced angle sensor still doesnt shift what to do now ?

When to move clutch adjuster in Honda Foreman?
The trick is to make sure you don’t move the adjuster when you are tightening down the locknut because it is pretty tight working in there, but be careful and it will go fine. It makes the world of difference if your clutch is loose. Did you find the recommended reading relevant to this discussion?
