Like the 1996 Convertible we have in our garage, one of the leather cover flaps on the ’99 FXDS broke in two places. The first thing to fail was the front snap. The snap holds the leading edge of the flap against the bag. This keeps it from flapping wildly at speed. With this snap missing the flap was exposed to the full force of the wind.
