Using a fitting in the spark plug hole (I use a compression tester with the valve core removed so air will go into the motor), pressurize the engine to 8-12 lbs with a hand pump. You will need a gauge with shut off so you can shut off the air and watch the gauge for air loss. Any air loss indicates a leak.

I just had the carb rebuilt by a Polaris dealer. It runs great. Idles perfect, accelerates great, perfect. That is until it dies. It acts like it runs out of gas OR the spark fails.
