Are there any issues with the 2008 Ranger crew 700?

I am a new owner of a used 08 Ranger Crew 700. I knew it had some issues when I purchased it. The machine will not “launch” from a stop or exceed about 25mph/4500 rpm without bogging down.

Are there any common problems with a Polaris 700?

As far as common problems, i have a 700 carb twin and a typical issue is the carb intake tends to crack on them due to the carb mounted to the frame and vibrations. My speedo wasnt working when i bought it but was a $60 issue to replace a burnt out hall effect sensor. Other than your price id say all day get it!

Why does my Ranger not launch from a stop?

I knew it had some issues when I purchased it. The machine will not “launch” from a stop or exceed about 25mph/4500 rpm without bogging down. I have determined it is fuel starvation. I have around 36 psi fuel pressure at idle, but upon acceleration drops quickly to as low as 25 psi when it reaches the point of bogging down.

What is the fuel pressure on a Ranger?

I have around 36 psi fuel pressure at idle, but upon acceleration drops quickly to as low as 25 psi when it reaches the point of bogging down. I was so excited I discovered a bad fuel pump only to have the same situation with the new fuel pump and sock filter.
