I {Heart} Hookers. As stated….. the OEM mid controls utilized a shaft that went through the primary used for the shifter arm. I left mine in place when I installed the forward controls, tucked it down behind the primary and used a cap that kuryakyn makes to cover the old shaft.
Can You mount a shifter on a Dyna Glide?
Many models such as a Dyna Wide Glide came with stock controls, and there was no hole drilled through the inner primary to accept a shifter arm shaft. If you do not have that hole in your inner primary, the only way to mount mid controls will be to install an inner primary with the shift arm shaft hole drilled in it.
