Is the idle adjuster on my Suzuki Intruder working?

Electrics seem fine, she still starts (with revs) and will restart after the stall (occasionally with a loud backfire), but the low revs are labored and die a slow death. The idle adjuster is turned all the way up, and I don’t have the know how (or the money) to get it looked at. Apologies for the essay.

Are there any issues with my Suzuki Intruder 1400?

I recently purchased a 1998 suzuki intruder 1400 and it drove off the lot and ran just fine. Eventually the battery went out which was old anyways so i replaced it and was in good shape. The battery kept draining and eventually the solenoid went out so i replaced the solenoid and have no more draining issues…

Why does my VL250 intruder stall after Idle?

When it’s hot, and I idle at a light for (usually) more than 30 seconds, it LOVES to stall. About 60% of the time high-revving will prevent it….but I look like a jerk and that isn’t good for the bike. If it dies, restarting only happens with it at WOT and it struggles to catch.

What’s the prime function of a Suzuki Intruder?

Click to expand… The 1400 has a built-in prime function; if you push the starter button without the clutch, and the clutch safety switch has not been bypassed, the fuel pump runs (and nothing else).

What causes a Suzuki Intruder to run out of fuel?

You need to know if sufficient fuel is getting to the carbs. Most have a “drain screw” on the bottom of the float bowls that you can open to see how much fuel runs out. Too much stabilizer, regardless of the brand, can cause bad running. You need to know if sufficient fuel is getting to the carbs.
