Why does my 2007 Polaris Sportsman 500 not start?
Please try again later. My 2007 Polaris sportsman 500, EFI will randomly cut all power and die. Sometimes I can get it to start. It’s not the kill switch, tried that. Tried adjusting the throttle cable, not that either. Was told its most likely the PDM and not the ECM, But at $570 each I’d like to be sure before I purchase parts. Happy riding!

How to start a Polaris 550 electric car?
Install the cable (PN 4013289), with the part number label opposite of the starter, to the starter motor terminal using spring washer (PN 7552801) and hex nut (PN 7542105). Torque to 8 ft. lbs. (10 Nm). Install the protective cap. Install the rear plated starter bracket (PN 5257395) to the starter using the hex flange nuts (PN 7542153).
Why does my Polaris ATV not go into gear?
Polaris ATVs with EBS (engine brake system) have components that may wear out in time. Inspect the EBS fiber washers (one on each side of the EBS bushing) on the primary clutch to see if they are worn out. If the washers are worn, the belt may not ride in the grooves as it should and instead ride one of the sheaves.
