What to use to clean Suzuki Bandit carburettor?
Give it a good blast of carb cleaner and then blow out with compressed air and you should see gunk come flying out. Use further cleaner and air blasts for stubborn rubbish. Carefully reassemble and attach to the motorbike in reverse order.
Can you spray the air intake on a bandit?
No, don’t spray it there; when they say air intake, they mean the air intake of the carbs themselves, i.e. where they join to the airbox. On the bandit, you need to lift the tank off, take the four screws out of the airbox cover in front of the battery and take the cover and air filter out. Spray it into the open airbox.
Why are my hoses leading to carbs on Bandit?
Spray it into the open airbox. However, any spray carb cleaner is little more than a waste of money unfortunately, snake-oil even. Carbs get gummed up from being left with stale fuel in them or get dirt in them from rusty tanks. This then blocks the jets and passages in the carb itself so the air/fuel mix is off.

What’s the problem with my Suzuki Bandit 600?
I recently purchased a 2000 Suzuki Bandit 600. When I bought the bike it didn’t wanna run off choke at all. I took the carbs off and cleaned all the jets. The pilot/mixture screws were set at 3 out so I put them to the recommended 1 3/4 turns out. I put brand new gas in it and replaced the spark plugs.
