What should I do if MY Rc is not working?
If returning the RC isn’t an option you can try more extensive repairs and troubleshooting. Only attempt these repairs with the understanding that it will cost more money and you still might not be able to fix what is wrong. With the higher cost of hobby-grade RCs, it may be worthwhile to track down and fix the problem.
What should I do if I have problems with my RC transmitter?
Doublecheck that you installed the batteries correctly, as even one incorrectly inserted battery can cause problems. If this is an RC you’ve used previously but it’s been sitting unused for a while, check the battery compartment for corrosion.
What happens if your motor is at 180 degrees?
At 180 degrees and above, most motors will lose power and potentially fail. Even if a motor doesn’t fail, excessive heat permanently causes magnets to lose their strength. If your motor is at or near 180 degrees F, try reducing motor timing, and recheck it. If that doesn’t work, it will be necessary to change gearing with a smaller pinion.
How do you know when to change the timing on a brushless motor?
The easiest way to know if you need to change timing is to use a temp gun. To help get an accurate temp reading, add a small piece of black tape or even black paint to your brushless motor. The first thing you want to check is that after a full-length run (not two minutes) the motor is below 180 degrees F. This is the threshold for most motors.
Why are 2 stroke 800cc motors so unreliable?
And polaris is out of pistons for the rest of the season. But what i am not getting is why are these motors so unreliable. My doos went down every 1600 miles, this polaris motor at 2400 miles. Is it just 2 strokes, or are we asking to much out of these motors? anyway it sucks big time to always be wondering if and when my motor will fail agian.
Where is the oil cooler on a uforce buggy?
Yes there is an oil cooler on these things. The radiator for it is located in the front of the buggy with oil lines going back to the engine. If it’s not there, then a previous owner removed it. And that would explain the seized motor. No matter what you put in, you will need to add the oil cooler.
Can a Rotax engine be replaced on a CFMOTO 800?
The CFMoto 800 is a RoTax clone, and is quite reliable if taken care of. I would find a direct fit replacement for the Tracker, or as Clark indicated, you’re in for quite a project, and not just the engine, but the drive-train connection bits and various linkages, and other things that will get in the way of a different motor.
How much horsepower does an 800cc motor have?
– In stock form, all the modern 800’s are putting out somewhere around 185-205hp/per liter, naturally aspirated, on over-the-counter pump fuel, and are maintained and used in the consumer market. And it weighs about the same as a couple cases of beer fully assembled.
