The muppet who changed it last time for some bizarre reason put the drain plug washer on top of the oil filter before screwing it on. You can see it resting on top of the filter in the picture. This also meant the drain plug was sealing with no washer You can also see the oil level marker on the side of clutch cover. Old Vs. New Old spark plug.

How to service a Ducati 750SS documented with pictures?
Its time for me to service my new Ducati, so i thought i would document on here everything i do incase it helps anybody else who wishes to do the same jobs themselves or inspires anyone to maintain their bikes at home and save a few quid.
What causes the ignition coil on a Ducati to wear out?
Simply put, the ignition coil kicks in to meet that demand. Ignition coils are made to be reliable, but they can still wear out. Heat and oscillation can short them out or corrupt their inner windings. That said, the most common offender for coil degradation is the power overload created from bad spark plugs/plug wires.

What should I do when I remove my spark plugs?
When you’ve removed your spark plugs, check the condition of the threads in the cylinder head and put a cloth over the cylinder head if you’re going to leave it exposed. Install each spark plug by hand until you have wound the thread a couple of turns. This reduces the chances of you cross-threading the plug.
