Can a bad water pump cause oil leak?

What to do if your water pump is leaking?
After you remove the pump take a pipe cleaner and run it around the inside of the weep hole on the bottom of the pump snout, if it comes out dry it indicates the inner pump seal is good. If it’s wet with oil/af or a mixture of the two you will need to replace the pump, the o-ring was ok.
