What happens if you don’t adjust the idle on a Honda ATV?
If the idle is not adjusted properly, the engine may rev too high when stopped, or it may die, requiring you to restart the engine whenever you come to a stop. By learning to adjust the idle on your Honda ATV, you won’t need to deal with these problems.
How to adjust the air valve on an ATV?
Adjust the air valve screw the same way. The higher the altitude, the more air that is needed; the pins need to be loose. The lower the altitude, the less air that is needed; the jet can be tighter. “ATVs: Everything You Need to Know (Everything You Need to Know)”; Steve Casper; 2006
What’s the problem with Honda 450 Foreman backfiring?
Put it all back together and problem is EXACTLY the same. Idles perfectly, but when you hit the throttle it backfires through the carb into air box and chokes to death. I dont know what else to do. Please help! Thanks

Why does my ATV spin in one direction?
If the washers are worn, the belt may not ride in the grooves as it should and instead ride one of the sheaves. Some ATVs with engine brake systems have a primary clutch with a one-way sprag bearing, a so-called one-way clutch. It is supposed to spin freely in one direction and be locked in the other direction.
Why does my ATV not go into gear?
This relieves the tension on the gearbox and allows you to shift gears. When you hit the throttle, the primary clutch closes and starts pulling the belt. The belt makes the secondary (driven) clutch spin, which creates tension between the gears inside the gearbox.
