My first 100ci went just over 12K miles and was replaced due to oil pressure problem and motor #2 just blew the lower end out all over Hwy 58 in Virginia with a little over 10k.

Revtech ignition coil or module issue? I have a 2001 American Performance Customs BigBoy with a RevTech 100 GenII, bought used a few years back and has about 6500 miles on it, pretty low for a 2001. I was riding one day and the bike just quit, no power, nothing. A friend of mine said to bring it to a shop he was working at and they’d fix it.

What to do if your RevTech is not working?

If you still cant get it to screw up then take a lightbulb and socket (tail or marker light) and connect it to the hot wire on the coil and connect the other wire to a good solid ground and go for a ride, but stay close to home. If it acts up look to see if the bulb is lit. If it stays lit you at least have B+ to the coil.

Ok,, try this,,, pull the front plug,, ground it and start up,, does it run any different than before,, if yes,,, then it was firing before.. Me,,, I would swap coils and wires just for elimination.. I am very interested in what you find if you do the things I sugg.. Thanks for helping. It is a dual coil single fire with only 2 plugs.

Why is the plug coming out of my Rev Tech?

(Although I don’t know torque spec for the long nut that holds that front gear on that the belt runs on. I did put it back on with an impact wrench) One of the two wires that go to the plug was cut by the magnet strip in the flywheel. It had started coming out of the flywheel a little and i guess rubbed the wire in two.
