Why is the foot brake on my Polaris not working?

I heared that they had trouble with the rear master cylinder and that their was a few quick fixes like putting a brick on the foot brake overnight I tried it and it didnt work just like all the other ones !! The only thing I know to do is get a new master cylinder !!

I dont know. maybe I should just bleed them to be sure. The foot brake should hold you in place on a grade, but don’t expect it to do much in terms of slowing you down… the rear brake is only a single disc on one wheel compared to discs on both front wheels.

So my rear brake works on my 2007 Sportsman 800 but only when I used the hand brake, is the handbrake supposed to activate all three brakes? I replaced the master cylinder with a cheap aftermarket part, then blead the system, then refilled and got all the air out of it.

Another question I noticed in the drawing that the rear pedal line shows going to the middle of the caliper where on mine it is in the back on the rear caliper. Why is the bleeder valve on my ATV not working?

If you get a firm squirt of brake fluid when you press the brake lever, the clogging is likely somewhere in your brake line. Before you begin replacing brake lines, it’s worth completely removing the bleeder valve to see if this clears things up. Replace clogged bleeder valves with new ones.
