Is the z440 Sno Pro A good snowmobile?
70-75 m.p.h. was on GPS with perfect conditions, below 20 degrees F and a studded 1.0 track, real world. Don’t get me wrong, they are a great light weight little sled that is a blast to toss around in the corners.
How much horsepower does a Sno Pro have?
Don’t quote me on this one though… 105 hp, about 435 pounds, first year rider forward, zero x shocks, cross link rear skid. 13.5x128x1.7 or 1.5 track, first year with a team secondary and slipper/borg warner gears. I beleive they also came with v-force reeds.

BTW…it was a 440Z Sno Pro…beat all to hell… This is a no brainer. The standard 440 fan has a single carb and mild mannered porting. It already can push around 70mph on a good day. Now take that same motor add another carb raise the porting and if I am correct the heads, pipe and electricals are also different.

Not too many other mods available for the fan 440 – but a good bullet-proof little motor.

Is the Arctic Cat ZR 440 Sno good or bad?
Most parts are not availvable any more (2001 was the only year for the Dynamic brand of shocks) and most rebuilders will not work on that year of the cross-links. Going to look at a 98 ZR 500 on Saturday……2,500 miles……called the guy to talk about it a bit & 1 jug, piston & rings have been replaced.
Is there a cross country version of the Arctic Cat Sno?
The cross country version also had a .85″ track instead of the 1.35″ on the sno cross version. The dynamic shocks and cross link rear suspension may be expensive to work on due to the high cost of parts.
