Why does my Polaris Ranger not turn on?
My Ranger started to occasionally just click when I turned the key, then it would start on the second or third try. Now, it only clicks and won’t turn over. The battery is hot. Could this be a relay?

Why is the solenoid on my Polaris not working?
It’s almost always a sign of 1 of these. Low voltage to the solenoid or bad solenoid. 90% the low voltage. Check your batt voltage 12.5v or more would be nice then clean, check, tighten every connection between the batt and your solenoid.
Where is the click on a Polaris Ranger?
The click is just under the driver seat. (2004 500 HO) Thanks for any help. Just had a no start problem with my 05 Ranger 4×4. Turn on the key and only hear a noise around the gas tank. I took a bunch of connectors apart and used a test light on them. Finally slapped the starter solenoid with a screwdriver handle and it started.

Well it used to run normal volts but I cant get it started no matter what even with a 300amp jump start.. so is there a solenoid or something between the starter and battery that can go out? I’m not so worried about my battery draining as I am about getting it to turn over again..

Can You short a battery on a Polaris Ranger?
Manually shorting acrossed a battery capable of supplying hundreds of amperes under that situation has the potential to “get ugly” very quickly!

How do you jump the solenoid on a Honda Ranger?
You can jump the solenoid with a screwdriver but you will have to have someone hold the brake pedal down to start it. Just hold the screwdriver between the two large posts. Turn on key and ‘silence’. It will occasionally start, allow me to get a block or 2 from the house,then the gear selector lights go out, and the engine dies immediately. I’m tired of towing it back to the house.

Where is the needle valve on a Polaris Ranger?
Click to expand… Mine (2006) is in the front end, to the left of the steering box. Overflowing carbs would be the float / needle valve. As the fuel level in the bowl fills up the float pushes a needle valve up into a seat to cut the flow of fuel off. Once fuel is used up the float falls and lets more fuel in.
