Is there a problem with my Prox 800?
I have a PROX 800 an have an overheating problem. Not airlocked. Thermostat is good, even removed to ensure coolant flow. At lower RPM, I have no problems. However, when I get it continually high-up the RPM range and keep it there, the motor starts overheating, eventually shutting itself down.
Can you run in snow with an 800 RMK?
That was the worse conditions I ran into, have to run off the trail in some real snow for at least 200 feet or so to keep it cooling with that blowaway fluff. Running with a 2010 800 RMK (std, not Dragon), that would never move past 130, regardless of how hot mine got, anywhere.

Which is best Polaris Pro RMK or assault 144?
Maybe polaris will put a oem one on next yr. as is from the shop I would go with a assault 144. If I could have it how I wanted, pro rmk with a assault front end. The Assault 144 isn’t a slouch by any means when it comes to deep snow.

What should I put on my pro RMK sled?
Cheap effective cooling for Pros, especially those running X3 tracks are Ski Z Scratcher/Deflectors. A friend of mine had those on for his first ride with another friend who did not have them. Both sleds are running 156 X3 tracks. The sled with the Ski Z product ran 20 to 30 degrees cooler in identical conditions.
